RCFC Launch!

RIVERSIDE – Riverside City Football Club (RCFC) is pleased to announce a new option for youth and their families in the Inland Empire for soccer development and competition. RCFC is a pending 501(c)(3) organization focused on developing professional level soccer players in the region. The club will start the regular 2018 season in the fall but has already begun recruiting youth players for spring and summer training. With more than 14 teams already on board, both boys and girls ages 8 to 19 are encouraged to sign up for tryouts in March. Teams are trained by US Soccer licensed coaches, each with multiple years of experience.

The new club is an exciting opportunity for youth to grow and learn in the sport of soccer. I am honored to give back to the community I was raised in through my new role with RCFC. Riverside’s community, culture, and diversity are qualities I have always been passionate about as a coach and educator. –Kevin Watson, RCFC Director of Coaching, Arlington HS Boys Varsity Soccer Head Coach

RCFC sets itself apart from other area clubs by providing a holistic approach to player development. At the entry level, the Club offers 6-week sessions for aspiring “lil’kickers” through its Grassroots Junior Academy Program (for youth 4 to 7 years of age). The Academy focuses on soccer fundamentals and movement in a noncompetitive environment. The regular youth teams receive ongoing skill and physical development through league play with the Coast Soccer League; including League Cup and State/National Cups. Student athletes can also take advantage of academic support and tutoring sessions with mentors. High school aged athletes also enjoy college prep training and access to exclusive college showcase tournaments.

On Wednesday, February 28th, RCFC will host a “Signing Day” event at Arlington High School (2951 Jackson St, Riverside, CA 92503). The public is invited to come learn more about the club, meet coaches and players, and register for various programs. The event will take place at 6:00 PM in the Arlington High School Lecture Hall.
